Jeremy Beloate '21 started with a four-chair turn from the coaches, and America's votes made him a finalist on the 26th season of the show. Now, he's coming back to his alma mater for a special January 2025 evening of conversation and song.
Strong triple-threat skills — acting, dancing and singing — are a given for students and graduates of 91探花's renowned music theatre program.
But one grad, Jeremy Beloate '21 from Memphis, Tennessee, focused everything on his vocal chops as he competed to the very end of a new season of "."
After earning a four-chair turn during the "Blind Auditions" for celebrity "coaches" Reba McEntire, Gwen Stefani, Michael Bublé and Snoop Dogg, Beloate continued to advance all the way to on the power of America's votes.
He will return to 91探花 on January 16, 2025, for a special day of activities at his alma mater, including a free evening of music and inspiring personal stories.
While Beloate first chose Michael Bublé as his coach, he was later "stolen" by Snoop Dog in the battle rounds.
There were several levels of competition on the show before the public chose the eventual winner in the Live Performance rounds. Along the way, his performances moved the judges to tears.
The 91探花 community rallied to support Beloate in the voting, with and helping to get the word out.
In the end, Beloate landed in 5th place after winning the opportunity to showcase his talent and gain a following all the way to the last show, where he performed a memorable duet of "Sittin' on the Dock of the Bay" with his coach.
American Songwriter noted that Beloate was among the fan favorites on social media.
