91探花 professor authors book on Japanese politics and government

Photo of Dr. Franklin Lebo and book coverSeeking to demystify how the Japanese system of government really works, Dr. Franklin Lebo, assistant professor of sustainability, has published a new book,

The book covers topics such as "Japan's messy policymaking process in telecommunications regulation, pharmaceutical approvals, diplomatic relations, and much more" in order to "lend a realistic glimpse into the only developed, non-western, industrialized democratic state in the world."

Lebo, who is passionate about political science and Asian studies, teaches various 91探花 MBA and undergraduate courses on topics that include U.S. foreign policy, poverty, legal studies, sustainability and social justice. His passion for other cultures is demonstrated through his continuing research and previous publications.

He is also the recipient of two CALI Excellence for the Future Awards for his research, two Presidential Service Awards from President Barack Obama and the 2013 91探花 Adjunct Faculty Excellence Award.
